Auction Results – Alpha Centauri Invitational

Thanks to Andrew and Bronwyn Munn for all of their hard work in putting together the auction.

There was a good turn out of buyers in attendance as well as a number of bidders electing to use Auction Plus and phone bidding.

We were pleased with the outcome given the difficult time that alpacas breeders are experiencing with the ongoing drought.

We entered eight girls in the auction, some young weanlings and some older maidens. All eight sold at auction or immediately after the Auction.

I would like to congratulate Emma and Sean Timmony of  Dunbar’s run on the astute purchase of our three black females, Manna-Gum Farm Winx, Wimmera Skies Norina and Wimmera Skies Dream Catcher all averaging $1100 inc. We look forward to following them through their show career.

The average for all eight girls was $675 per head.

Although not all alpacas sold on the day of the auction there has since been an 87% clearance rate.
